Albertsee (Erftstadt)
The Albertsee, also Albert-See, in Erftstadt is a 1.2 hectare large, maximally 3.2 meters deep lake in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis in the southwest of North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located in the foothills on the B 265 between Liblar (Erftstadt) and Heide ( Brühl ), northeast of the Liblar town center and directly opposite Lake Liblar . The lake is one of the numerous villa lakes that were created in the course of the mining of lignite .
Created in 1974, the Albertsee is now under landscape protection. Protected spawning zones have been set up there all year round. The lake is now owned by AIG Ville e. V. Köttingen managed and from there specifically released the members of the association for fishing.
From the rush pond, located on Lake Liblar, an inlet leads into Lake Albert. The stream runs under the B 265, where it then flows into the Albertsee on the other side.
From the Erftstadt train station and the Vorgebirgsbahn (line 18 of the Cologne Stadtbahn ) the Albertsee can be reached with the bus lines 979 and 990 of the Rhein-Erft-Verkehrsgesellschaft via the Liblarer See stop .
