Albin Dahl (born January 2, 1900 in Landskrona , † February 15, 1980 in Helsingborg ) was a Swedish football player and coach.

Career

Player career

Dahl played for Landskrona BoIS between 1915 and 1921 . In 1922 he moved to Helsingborgs IF . Here he was three times Swedish champion. In 1933 he went to Växjö BK , where he ended his career after half a year. Overall, he played 162 times in the Allsvenskan between 1924, the founding of the league, and 1933 , scoring 107 goals.

Between 1919 and 1931 he played 29 times for the Swedish national team . He scored 21 goals. At the Olympic Games in 1924 he won the bronze medal with the national selection.

Coaching career

Immediately after the end of his first division career, Dahl moved to the coaching bench. At first he was a game coach at Eslövs AIF before he worked at Helsingør IF in Denmark from 1935 . In January 1938 he went to his old club Helsingborgs IF, which he looked after until the end of the 1944 season.

In 1945 he was hired by Råå IF . In 1948 he won the Svenska Cup with the team by a clear 6-0 final victory against BK Kenty . In 1950 he was promoted to the Allsvenskan. However, he left the club in January 1951 to return to Helsingborgs IF. He worked for the club until December 1953, before moving to his first club as a player, Landskrona BoIS. He looked after the club until the end of the 1956 season. He then went back to Råå IF, who now played in Division 2 again .
