Albrecht von Croÿ

Albrecht von Croÿ (birth name: Albrecht Alexander von Croÿ , also: Albrecht Prinz von Croy ; born on May 8, 1959 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German journalist and management consultant .

Life

Albrecht von Croÿ was born the son of Clemens von Croÿ (1926–2014) and Marie Therese von Schaesberg (1927–2004); the family belongs to the Westphalian branch of the Croÿ family .

After graduating from high school in 1979 and the subsequent military service, von Croÿ completed a journalism traineeship at the Schwäbische Zeitung in Leutkirch between 1981 and 1983 . From 1983 to 1985 he worked for the same newspaper as head of duty in the Ulm local editorial team. From 1985 to 1989 he studied politics and history in Frankfurt am Main .

From 1989 to 1993, von Croÿ was news editor for the FAZ ; from 1993 to 1999 head of the FAZ magazine. In 1999 he switched to the Handelsblatt publishing group , where he initially worked as head of the department for the short-lived print version of the stock market magazine Telebörse until 2002 , then until 2003 in the editor-in-chief of the business magazine € uro . From 2003 to 2009 he was the managing editor ("Editorial Director") and member of the editor-in-chief of the Handelsblatt . He has been working as a management consultant since 2010, and since 2013 as a "Senior Consultant" at the conlab business association .

Von Croÿ has been teaching political communication and business communication at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Cologne and Düsseldorf as an external lecturer since 2014 . Between 2014 and 2017 he was editor-in-chief of the Deutsches Adelsblatt . Since 2016 he has been the publishing director and co-partner of Theo-Verlag .

He has been honorary vice president of the Malteser Relief Service since 2018 .
