Don Backy (actually Aldo Caponi , born August 21, 1939 in Santa Croce sull'Arno ) is an Italian singer and actor .

Life

Backy appeared from the age of sixteen with an amateur group as an interpreter of current American and English hits and in 1961 switched to the professional camp under the pseudonym Agaton . He belonged to the clan around Adriano Celentano until 1968 and was able to record a number of successful titles by the early 1980s, including Fuggiasco , Amico , L'amore , L'immensità and his number one hit of 1968, Canzone . In 1967 and 1969 he took part in the Sanremo Festival . In addition to his singing, he worked as an author, painter and film composer - z. B. for Chernova Ruta .

After a few appearances in guest roles, he began an acting career in 1967, which he pursued until 1975. He was both the sexy hero in The Naked Mare and Der Pfaffenspiegel and the woman slasher Busturi in Wild Dogs in the team with George Eastman . Don Backy has appeared in numerous undemanding commercial films, but also played under Carlo Lizzani in The Bandits of Milan and the homosexual heroes in The Degenerate ; In 1981 he appeared again in front of the camera for Bernardo Bertolucci .
