action

Eight years ago, young mafioso Rosario Inzulia and his friend Pasquale were sentenced to eight years of forced labor in an American quarry for a drug business they had nothing to do with, during which time Inzulia's wife died, Pasquale was murdered and Rosario's company almost went bankrupt. Back in Palermo, he breaks with his former cronies, but also denies Commissioner Modica his plans to win him as a key witness. A fatherly friend, building contractor Lo Presti, lends a hand to Rosario, meanwhile he has to accept setbacks and attacks by the mafia. Via the widow Pasquales, Rossana, who is becoming his lover, he comes into contact with Carmelo Rizzo, who also has an old account with the Mafiosi. The two soon find out that Lo Presti was and is the man behind the criminal acts. So he kidnaps his son to get him to report himself. Since he was shot dead by American mafiosi shortly before a confession, Rosario wrote down everything that happened in the face of his faint. Before he can deliver it to Modica, he is murdered. Modica wants to keep fighting.

criticism

The lexicon of international films judged it to be “a partly exciting, partly just brutal gangster film that sheds too superficial light on the mafia problem.” The film, which focuses entirely on the spectacular effect, is quite decent, said the Segnalazioni Cinematografiche .

Remarks

The gross profit in Italy was 219 million lire .
