Stefano Satta Flores
Stefano Satta Flores (born January 14, 1937 in Naples , † October 22, 1985 in Rome ) was an Italian actor and voice actor.
Life
The native Neapolitan completed his training at the renowned Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. At the Piccolo Teatro di Milano he played in plays by Shakespeare and Mattia Sbragia . The director Lina Wertmüller brought him to film in 1963, where he immediately got a leading role in 1963 in Die Basilisken . The land surveyor and dreamer Francesco made Stefano Satta Flores famous. He played the title role of Jack in Jack l'infallibile and in Wertmüller's next film This Time We're Talking About Men . His best-known films include Dario Argento's Four Flies on Gray Velvet (1971), Carlo di Palmas Theresa, the thief as partner of Monica Vitti and Ettore Scolas We were so in love (1974), in which the leading roles are with Stefania Sandrelli , Nino Manfredi and Vittorio Gassman shares. In Scola's film he plays the former partisan Nicola, who, years after the war, loses his job because of his socialist sentiments and indulges in neorealist film art. Also politically active, Stefano Satt Flores founded the alternative theater group “I compagni di scena”. Politically committed films such as Giuliano Montaldo's Agnes Goes to Death and Pasquale Squitieri's works The Iron Prefect (Il prefetto di ferro) (1977) and The Rise of the Godfather ( Corleone ) or sensitive relationship dramas such as Eriprando Visconti's Una spirale di nebbia (1977) determine his Filmography. Ted Kotcheff's Die Schlemmer-Orgie (1978) is one of his rare comedies . In 1980 Ettore Scola hired him again for Die Terrasse . Giuseppe Ferrara's 100 days of Palermo (1984) remains his last film. Stefano Satta Flores died of leukemia at the age of 48 .
