Camillo Bazzoni

Camillo Bazzoni (born December 29, 1934 in Salsomaggiore Terme ) is an Italian cameraman , film director and screenwriter .

Life

Luigi Bazzoni's brother shot four films under his own direction, which can be attributed to genre cinema . His pseudonym for the spaghetti western I'm an escaped chain convict was Alex Burks .

In 1960 Bazzoni began his work in film after an early interest in photography as assistant to the film cameraman Vincenzo Seratrice as a cameraman for Seratrice and Aldo Scavarda . After directing a few short films ( L'urlo was nominated for the Palme d'Or for best short film at the Cannes Film Festival ), he made his debut as head cameraman for one of his brother's films, before directing four films from 1967. From the end of the 1970s he devoted himself again, and now exclusively, to film photography. a. worked for Salvatore Samperi and Lina Wertmüller as well as Mario Monicelli . In 1981 he was the second staff cameraman for Warren Beattys Reds . Among his last works are two works by Massimo Troisi around the 1990s .
