Alejandro Antonio Buccolini SDB (born January 18, 1930 in Ferré ; † June 6, 2014 ) was an Argentine religious and bishop of Río Gallegos .

Life

Alejandro Antonio Buccolini joined the order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and was ordained a priest on November 24, 1957 . In addition to philosophy and theology, he studied Latin and humanistic texts at

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Río Gallegos on July 11, 1992. The Archbishop of Rosario , Jorge Manuel López , donated him episcopal ordination on September 26, 1992 ; Co- consecrators were Jorge Arturo Meinvielle SDB, Bishop of San Justo , and Agustín Roberto Radrizzani SDB, Bishop of Neuquén . He was inducted into office on October 3 of the same year. His motto was La Caridad de Cristo nos apremia (The love of Christ urges us).

On October 25, 2005, Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
