The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Rosario ( Latin Archidioecesis rosariensis , Spanish Arquidiócesis de Rosario ) is an in Argentina situated Roman Catholic Archdiocese based in Rosario .
history
The Diocese of Rosario was founded on April 20, 1934 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Papal Bull Nobilis Argentinae Nationis from cessions of territory of the diocese of Santa Fe . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe as a suffragan . On August 12, 1963, the diocese gave up parts of its territory to establish the diocese Venado Tuerto . The Diocese of Rosario was on August 12, 1963 by Pope Paul VI. raised to the archbishopric.
