Alejandro Furia , full name Alejandro David Furia Cabral , (born March 15, 1994 in Melo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The 1.71-meter-tall defensive player Furia has played for the youth teams of the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Peñarol since at least 2011 . In the Primera División , however, he was not used. In August 2014 he left the "Aurinegros" initially and joined the second division Central Español on loan. In the 2014/15 season he was used there 22 times (no goal) in the Segunda División . For the Apertura 2015 he was loaned by Peñarol to the first division promoted Plaza Colonia . In the 2015/16 season he completed 18 top division games (one goal). This was followed by six or two goalless appearances in the league and the Copa Sudamericana 2016 in the 2016 season . After 13 more Premier League appearances (one goal) in the 2017 season, he moved to Quilmes AC at the end of July 2017 .
National team
Furia was part of the squad of the Uruguayan U-17 selection at the U-17 South American Championship 2011 in Ecuador and was runner-up with the team. In June 2011 he was part of the Uruguayan team at the 2011 U-17 World Cup in Mexico . There he reached the final with the team, in which they were defeated by the Mexican hosts. Furia was used in seven World Cup matches. He didn't score a goal.
