Aleksandras Agejevas

Aleksandras Agejevas ( Russian Александр Агеев ; born January 15, 1949 in Bucharest , Romania ) is a Lithuanian chess player of Russian origin. He also plays correspondence chess .

Life

After graduating from middle school graduated Agejevas 1972, the diploma program as telecommunications - engineering at the Polytechnic Institute in Riga ( Latvia ). From 1972 to 1991 he worked at the Ministry of Communications of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic and the Soviet Union . From 1991 to 1992 he headed a center at the Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Lithuania . From 1992 to 1993 he was the deputy director of the telecommunications company Lintel . From 1993 to 2000 he was in charge of customer service at Comliet . From 2004 he worked at LR ryšių reguliavimo tarnyba .

Agejevas has held the title of International Correspondence Chess Master since 1991. His highest Elo rating in local chess was 2080 (in January 1995). His highest rating in correspondence chess was 2,463 (in 1992). Agejevas was a member of the Lithuanian correspondence chess team. He took part in the semifinals (1994-1999) of the 5th European Correspondence Chess Championship and took 2nd place with the 2nd team out of 10 teams in the third group.
