Alen Pamić (born October 15, 1989 in Žminj , Yugoslavia , † June 21, 2013 in Kanfanar , Croatia ) was a Croatian football player .

Athletic career

Pamić, son of the short-term Croatian national player Igor Pamić , initially followed his father in his coaching stations. So he played until 2007 in the youth of the NK Žminj , whose competition team was supervised by the father.

In 2007 Pamić moved to the then third division club NK Karlovac , who had hired his father as a coach. Here he made his debut in adult football and was one of the regular players in the promotion to the second division. As a result, father and son initially parted ways because he moved on to the first division club HNK Rijeka . After two seasons he moved to Belgium to Standard Liège . There he suffered a cardiac arrest in November 2010 before a youth game against the youth team of SV Zulte Waregem . After his contract was terminated a few months later, he returned to Croatia and joined the club NK Istra coached by his father in 1961 . Here he ran again in the 1st HNL .

After collapsing in a league match in February 2013, Pamić passed away in June of that year while playing futsal with friends .
