Alena Melicharová

Stanislava Alena Melicharová (born May 7, 1938 in Kolín ) is a Czech writer.

Life

She spent her childhood in Pečky . After the war she came to Osek with her parents . She studied at the Pedagogical University in Teplice and Ústí nad Labem and then worked as a teacher in Jeníkov , Hrob and Duchcov . Today she lives in Košťany near Teplice.

Her poetry collections from the 1970s have not been published. The first poems a.o. appeared later. a. in the newspapers Průboj and Revue Teplice and in the supplement Sluneční koróna (Sun Corona) of the monthly magazine Nové Ústecké Přehledy .

She is a member of group “D” at the Duchcov State Castle and in Obec spisovatelů (Writers' Community) and Severočeských Spisovatelů (Club of North Bohemian Writers).

In 2001 she took part in the exhibition "Magická krajina Českého středohoří 2001" (Magical Region Bohemian Central Uplands 2001) and had her own exhibitions in March 2000 and April 2002.

One of her best-known poems is Ulrika about Ulrike von Levetzow , Johann Wolfgang Goethe's last lover .
