Ales Prudnikau
Ales Traphimawitsch Prudnikau ( Belarusian Алесь Трафімавіч Пруднікаў * April 1 . Jul / 14. April 1910 greg. In Stary Dzedzin , Russian Empire ; † 5. August 1941 near the village Utuki , Karelo-Finnish SSR ) was a Belarusian poet .
biography
Ales Traphimawitsch Prudnikau was born on April 14, 1910 in the village of Stary Dsedsin. He was a cousin of Pawel Prudnikau, who also appeared as a poet . Heavy wars raged in his childhood that had a lasting impact on him. His father was wounded in World War I and died in 1917. Ales finished school in 1930 in the neighboring village of Milaslawizy with his cousin Pawel. From 1930 to 1933 he worked and studied at the Pedagogical University in Minsk . Like many young poets at the time, he was arrested in 1933, but soon released and drafted into the Red Army (until 1935). In 1938 he finished the Pedagogical University in Leningrad . 1938–1941 he worked as a teacher and inspector in various schools in the Karelo-Finnish ASSR / SSR . At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War , he was a reconnaissance aircraft used and only fell a few months later near the village Utuki.
Literary activity
Ales began literary activities in his school with cousin Pawel in 1926. He also became a correspondent for the school newspaper. The first poems appeared in 1930. His poems The Earthly Stars ( Зямныя зоры ) appeared in 1932 as a single book. There are also three poems in the Blood of the Heart ( Крывёю сэрца ) poetry collection by various Belarusian poets who were killed in World War II.
To date, there have been no translations of Ales Prudnikau's works into German.
