His early works, mainly pure frescoes, which he made exclusively for wealthy private patrons until the 1990s, are clearly influenced by the Italian Renaissance and early Baroque painting . With the exhibition “Tafelbilder” in Klosterneuburg Abbey in 1996, he increasingly turned to the production of panel paintings, for which he developed his typical design on a specially modified basis of the baroque stucco marble technique, which he mixed with painting in casein tempera and acrylic. This also resulted in oil paintings on canvas, gouache and watercolor works.

Most of Alesandrion's works are based on mythological, mystical or astrological motifs and symbolism. The content of his pictures, which he often draws from visionary experiences, is to make the close connection and penetration of human existence, of earthly matter, with metaphysical ( metaphysics ) worlds visible and understandable. Since 2000 Alesandrion has been teaching "Historical Painting Techniques" and "Art in Architecture" at the University of Applied Arts for the painting and restoration institutes.

In 2003, Alesandrion met the women's rights activist Waris Dirie in Vienna . This encounter inspired him to create a 12-part picture cycle (2003–2007) that included both portraits of her and various scenes from her first book "Desert Flower".

In 2011, the picture "Black goddess" is from the Waris Dirie cycle of paintings in the collection of the Phantastenmuseum taken and another image "Black Virgin" bought.

Quotes about alesandrion

“The man lives in two worlds, in at least two ... he calls himself Alesandrion. That sounds very ancient, archaic, mythological. But it is not. It just triggers something in the reader and listener that is embedded in everyone in the archetypes of the collective unconscious. "
