Alessandro Mangiarratti (born September 15, 1978 in Bellinzona ) is a former Swiss - Italian football player and today's coach .

Career

player

While he was employed by AC Bellinzona, Mangiarratti was loaned to Ascona and Schaffhausen. Finally he played with the Grasshoppers in the U21 and finally moved to Wil. With the team, he finally rose to the highest league, with only a short assignment. Mangiarratti played among other things in the highest scoring game in the highest Swiss league against FC St. Gallen . After his time with Wil, he moved to Belenenses SAD in Portugal and later played briefly in Mexico. After this short season abroad, Mangiarratti moved back to Switzerland, played at Locarno and finally back at his home club Bellinzona, where he ended his active career in 2011.

Trainer

Mangiarratti started as a coach at the Ticino junior team, Team Ticino, where he was responsible for three seasons. At the same time he was assistant coach of the U17 national team for one year from 2017. He then worked as an interim trainer at Chiasso in 2018. After the position was filled by Andrea Manzo , Mangiarratti became technical director at Chiasso. Since 2019 he has been a trainer in the youth department of the Bernese Young Boys.

Private

Mangiaratti is a qualified sports teacher and studied sports.
