Alessandro Pellegrini (politician)

Alessandro "Sandro" Pellegrini (born July 4, 1938 in Mezzolombardo ; † March 8, 1998 ) was an Italian politician from South Tyrol .

biography

Pellegrini graduated from an agricultural college and then worked as a civil servant. From 1974 to 1988 he represented the Democrazia Cristiana (DC) in the Bolzano municipal council, from 1976 to 1985 he also served as a city councilor, most recently as a parliamentary group spokesman. Pellegrini, who was also active in associations, moved up in 1990 for the late Aldo Balzarini in the South Tyrolean state parliament and at the same time joined the Trentino-South Tyrol regional council , of which he was a member until the end of the 1993 legislative period. Immediately after taking office, he became vice-president of the state parliament, and in 1991 he took over the rotating presidency of the state parliament. After Remo Ferretti's resignation at the beginning of 1993, he moved to the state government , where he served in the Durnwalder I cabinet as state councilor for finances, assets, Italian schools and culture until February 1994 . At the same time, he was assessor and vice-president in the regional government of Trentino-South Tyrol from 1990 to 1994 .
