Alessandro Rossi (born August 10, 1967 in Rimini ) is a San Marinese politician.

Rossi holds an engineering degree from the University of Bologna . Since 2000 he has been working as a network administrator.

Rossi was one of the founders of the Movimento idea. He was elected to the Consiglio Grande e Generale , Parliament of San Marino, in 1998 on the joint list of IM and the Partito Progressista Democratico Sammarinese . He was deputy group leader. In 2001 Rossi was one of the founders of the Partito dei Democratici in which the PPDS was absorbed. Re-elected to parliament in 2001, he was again deputy group leader. In 2005 he joined the newly founded Sinistra Unita and became chairman of the parliamentary group. He was re-elected to the Sinistra Unita list in the 2006, 2008 and 2012 elections. From 2006 he was a member of the Consiglio dei XII and the Foreign Affairs Committee and was Deputy Delegate San Marino to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe until 2009 . In the legislative period from 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the health committee. From 2012 he was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and was again Deputy Delegate to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. On May 17, 2013, he resigned his seat in parliament. Luca Lazzari was the successor .

Together with Alessandro Mancini , he was elected head of state of San Marino ( Capitano Reggente ) for the period from April 1 to October 1, 2007 .

Rossi is married and lives in Acquaviva .
