Alessio Arduini

Alessio Arduini (born 1987 in Desenzano del Garda ) is an Italian opera singer with a baritone voice . He has been a member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble since autumn 2012 .

Life

Arduini became interested in opera singing at the age of 15. Parallel to his studies in industrial engineering, he completed a vocal training. For several years he studied with Vincenzo Rose . In 2010 he received a scholarship from the Fondazione Lina Aimaro Bertasi and made his stage debut as Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Teatro Sociale di Como , where he returned as Conte d'Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro . He appeared as Don Giovanni at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari , as Riccardo in Bellini's I puritani at the Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona , as Guglielmo in Mozart's Così fan tutte at the Teatro Regio di Torino and at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.

In summer 2012, the singer made his debut at the Salzburg Festival , where he sang - alongside Anna Netrebko and Piotr Beczała - Schaunard in Puccini's La Bohème in the Great Festival Hall . In 2014 he was invited to take over the Masetto in Mozart's Don Giovanni in Salzburg . In 2015 he sang Silvio in Leoncavallos Pagliacci at the Salzburg Easter Festival under the direction of Christian Thielemann .

Alessio Arduini has been a member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble since autumn 2012 . So far he sang the Mozart roles Masetto, Leporello, Guglielmo and Publio in La clemenza di Tito , as well as the title role in Le nozze di Figaro , Schaunard and Marcello in La Bohème , as well as during a guest appearance by the State Opera at the Royal Opera in Muscat three important comic roles: the Belcore in L'elisir d'amore , the Dandini La Cenerentola and in the premiere cast from April 2015 the Malatesta in Don Pasquale . In autumn 2013 he made his debut as Guglielmo at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, further guest engagements took him again to the Teatro La Fenice (as Guglielmo and Don Giovanni), the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and the Metropolitan Opera in New York (as Schaunard ) and to La Scala in Milan (as Silvano in Un ballo in maschera ). Debuts at the Baths of Caracalla in Rome (as Schaunard) and at the Opéra National de Paris (as Leporello) are scheduled for the second half of 2015 . In September 2015 he will take on Figaro in Barbiere di Siviglia for the first time at the Vienna State Opera , a role that he will also sing in Paris from February 2016.
