Alets Idrottsklubb is a Swedish football club from Halmstad . The club played three seasons in the second division in the 1940s , but currently only plays in seventh-class Division 5 .

history

Alets IK was founded in 1923 as Västra Boll-och Idrottsföreningen , but soon changed its name and the current name was given. In 1939, the team rose to the third-class Division 3 . Initially, only places in the rear midfield were occupied before the club qualified as champions of the season Sydsvenska Norra in 1943 for the promotion games to Division 2 . There you failed, however, at Limhamns IF . A year later they won again in the season, after a 3-2 home win and a 2-2 draw away, the team prevailed against BK Drott .

In Division 2 Södra , Alets IK faced relegation. Relegation was achieved in the first season with one point ahead of Bromölla IF , the lead on the relegation zone could be expanded to two points in the following year. In 1947 the team was only bottom of the table and even had to relegate to fourth division due to a restructuring of the league system.

In 1949 Alets IK managed to return to the third division and managed to surprise as runner-up behind Lunds BK . In the summer of 1950 the club went on tour in Germany and competed in Heide , Itzehoe and Wilhelmshaven . In return, Heider SV competed in Örjans vall , but the action was a financial failure. In terms of sport, too, things went downhill, in 1952 they only managed three wins of the season and relegated back to the fourth division. But here too the success came off and you were passed straight through to fifth class.

In 1964 Alets IK managed to return to division 4. In the Halland season, the team initially played against relegation. With one point ahead of Falkenbergs FF , the relegation succeeded. In the following years, the team commuted between a place in the secured midfield and the relegation battle. In 1972, the team surprisingly managed to win the season, but failed after a 0-0 draw in the away game with a 1: 2 home defeat in the promotion games at Olofström IF . After two years in the relegation battle, the team again narrowly missed the return to the third division in 1975 when they were runner- up with one point behind Vessigebro BK . After further years in the midfield of the league, the team was only able to occupy the penultimate place in 1979 and was relegated to fifth division.

Alets IK played with the front in Division 5 , but needed three years to return to the fourth division as champions in 1982. In third place, 1983 had an excellent season, but in 1985 only eleventh place was taken again and the team was relegated again. In the following years the team commuted back and forth as an elevator team between the fifth and sixth level of play. In 1990 the team was passed through to the seventh division.

Alets IK was able to consolidate and by 1994 the team managed to return to the fifth division. In the short term, the club was able to establish itself in the league before he had to leave the 1999 season again as a relegated team. Again years as an elevator team followed and in 2005 the team played one season in the eight-division. This was followed by the march through to the sixth division, from which the club relegated in 2007. The club has played in a different league every year since 1999.
