Alex & Eve is a 2016 Australian comedy film . In the film, a Greek Orthodox teacher and a Muslim Lebanese lawyer fall in love.

action

Alex is a quiet and humble schoolteacher whom his students refer to as gay since he is not yet married. His friend Paul is with the paralegal Claire. The lawyer Eve is her friend. When Eve and Alex meet, they immediately have fun together and fall in love. Since he is Greek Orthodox and she is a Lebanese Muslim, the parents are vehemently against the relationship. When the parents meet in Eve's house, Alex's father and Eve's mother fall apart. The two learn that Eve is engaged to a Lebanese from home from her parents. When Paul argues with his father, he moves out of his home. On the day of Eve's wedding, her brother comes to Paul and asks him if he loves Eve. When he discovers that Eve really loves, he tells Paul to fight for her. Alex comes to Eve's wedding with his family and asks if she loves him. She says it can't be, but then changes her mind. Then both of them run hand in hand to the bridal car. There they kiss and leave the wedding.
