Alex Lawther
Alex Lawther (* 1995 in Petersfield (Hampshire) , England ) is a British actor . Lawther gained particular fame in 2014 for his role as the young Alan Turing in The Imitation Game .
Life
After working with various theater groups, including The National Youth Theater , Lawther made his breakthrough at the age of 16 with the play South Downs . He then entered the show The Glass Supper at the side of Michael Begley and Michelle Collins in Hampstead Theater to see. Lawther later got a role in Benjamin Britten: Peace and Conflict and starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley as the young Alan Turing in the Oscar- winning film The Imitation Game . In 2014 he was also in the role of Isaac Cooper in the movie X + Y to see.
Since 2017 he has played one of the two main roles as James in the television series The End of the F *** ing World .
