Alex Nicol

Alex Nicol ( Alexander Livingston Nicol Jr .; born January 20, 1916 in Ossining , New York , † July 29, 2001 in Montecito ) was an American actor and director .

Life

Nicol was a young actor with Maurice Evans Company in Shakespeare performance will be on tour; after the military service, which he performed in Europe from 1940 until the end of the war, he was able to gain a foothold on Broadway, so in South Pacific and Mr. Roberts (at the side of Henry Fonda ). He then received a contract with Universal Studios and was seen in around 40 films, from 1953 on on television. He then continued his career in Spain and Italy until the mid-1960s, before participating as a director in a number of television series by the end of the decade ( Tarzan , Verrückter Wilder Westen et al.)

His career ended in the 1970s with a number of roles in exploitation films. He earned his living renting out his own apartments.
