Alexander "Alex" Niggemann (* 1984 in Düsseldorf ) is a German music producer, DJ and label owner in the house sector ( tech house , deep house , acid house ).

He began his DJ career at the age of 15, initially in clubs in the vicinity, such as B. the Düsseldorf "mk-2". At the turn of the millennium, Niggemann began to dedicate himself more and more to the production of pieces of music, studied audio engineering after moving to Berlin in 2005 and thus laid the foundation for his professional work.

Alex Niggemann published his first work with his remix for Booka Shades hit Darko (published by Get Physical Music 2006) during his Bachelor of Recording Arts training . On the side he occasionally worked for this label and the Berlin DJ-T.

After completing his studies in 2008, he released his first singles / EPs Assign me (Sportclub Records) and Circles (Micro.fon Records). Established musicians and DJs such as Audiofly and Nick Curly became aware of him, so that their labels released his Black Rose EP (Supernature Records - 2009) and Makayuni / El Hechizo (8bit Records - also 2009) the following year.

1st album: Paranoid Funk (2012)

Since then, Alex Niggemann has appeared around the world and played in clubs that are among the largest and most famous in the scene, such as B. Space and Privilege in Ibiza, Watergate and Berghain in Berlin or in D.edge in São Paulo . Releases on labels such as Freerange, Tsuba and his single Play House on the Dutch label Bla Bla Recordings followed.

In 2010 he founded the Soulfooled label with his partner Oliver Fritsche.

Since his Lately EP , Alex Niggemann has been an artist on Steve Bug's label Poker Flat Recordings . His first album, Paranoid Funk , was released there in 2012 .
