Alex Olmedo
Alex Olmedo , actually Luis Alejandro Rodríguez Olmedo , (born March 24, 1936 in Arequipa ) is a former Peruvian tennis player .
Olmedo graduated from the University of Southern California . In 1956 he won his first tournaments, his most successful year followed in 1959 when he won the Grand Slam tournaments in Melbourne and Wimbledon and was only defeated in the final at the US Open . He made it to second place in the world rankings.
