Alex R. Hibbert
Alex R. Hibbert (born July 4, 2004 in New York City , New York ) is an American child actor .
Life
His first film role was given to Hibbert, who had previously only worked in a theater project at his school, in Moonlight by Barry Jenkins . In the first third of the film, at the age of 12, he plays the main character Chiron. Jenkins said of Hibbert, who had no previous acting experience, that he was not a child actor , but simply a child . The film was named Best Film at the 2017 Academy Awards . When La La Land was first announced as the best film , but then received the award after the discovery of a mistake Moonlight , Hibbert took the stage with the film staff and his fellow actors. In the German version, Hibbert was dubbed in the film by Oliver Szerkus .
In addition to his work as an actor, Hibbert also worked as a model for Calvin Klein's 2017 spring underwear collection . Hibbert explained his passion for science in several interviews and named Andrew Garfield his favorite actor. In the television series The Chi of Rick Famuyiwa Hibbert played in the pilot episode in January 2018 Kevin. In the Marvel film Black Panther , which started in February 2018, Hibbert can also be seen in a small guest appearance at the end.
