Alexa Marie Dannemiller (born June 9, 1993 in West Chester , USA ) is an American volleyball player .

Career

Alexa 'Lexi' Maria Dannemiller started playing volleyball in third grade. First she was coached by her mother, the former Colombian national player Maria Carbonari . From 2011 to 2014, Dannemiller played for the University of Michigan team , the Michigan Wolverines , while studying psychology. During her four years of engagement she received numerous awards. After her time in Michigan, she ended her active career in indoor volleyball, played beach volleyball and worked as a trainer. Dannemiller later decided to return to indoor volleyball. For the 2016/17 season she moved to Schweriner SC . There she became German volleyball champion . In addition, Dannemiller was appointed to the squad of the US national volleyball team in April 2017. After the season, Dannemiller moved to the French champions and Champions League participant ASPTT Mulhouse . With the team she won the French Supercup in 2018. For the 2018/19 season she went to SC Potsdam and returned to the first Bundesliga.
