Alexander Savvatievich Abramsky
Alexander Sawwatjewitsch Abramski ( Russian Александр Савватьевич Абрамский ; born January 10 . Jul / 22. January 1898 greg. In Lutsk , Ukraine ; † 29. August 1985 in Moscow ) was a Soviet composer and folklorist .
Life
Alexander Sawwatjewitsch Abramski had piano lessons with Konstantin Nikolajewitsch Igumnow and composition lessons with Georgi Catoire . From 1922 to 1927 he studied at the Moscow Conservatory in the composition class of Nikolai Jakowlewitsch Mjaskowski . From 1950 he participated in expeditions to research folklore in the Soviet Union. He toured the Arkhangelsk , Vologda , Moscow and Uzbekistan oblasts . Here he recorded 75 Uighur songs. He worked with different choirs. From 1951 he taught the composition entry class at the seminar of the Union of Composers of the USSR.
He made a great contribution to the collection, recording and processing of folk songs in the Soviet Union.
