Gustav Knapp (born August 15, 1871 in Stuttgart ; † September 1, 1934 there ) was an administrative officer in Württemberg.

Life

Born as the son of a businessman, Knapp studied law in Tübingen after attending the seminars in Maulbronn and Blaubeuren . During his studies in 1889 he became a member of the Tübingen royal society Roigel . After he had passed his higher administrative service examinations in 1897, he was a bailiff in Neuchâtel from 1901 to 1904 , then secretary at the Stuttgart city ​​protection office and from 1907 a planned assessor with the title of senior bailiff . After two years as an unskilled worker in the Ministry of the Interior, he became a senior bailiff in Balingen before being reappointed to the Ministry of the Interior in 1912. From 1913 he was a government councilor in the ministerial department for road and hydraulic engineering. In 1918 he became a ministerial advisor . In 1922 he became a deputy member of the disciplinary court for corporate officials, in 1928 state commissioner at the Württembergische Vereinsbank. He came to serve on the Board of Directors of the Corporate Disciplinary Body. In 1934, Knapp was run over by a truck and died. He found his final resting place in the Pragfriedhof in Stuttgart.

Honors

The municipality of Margrethausen made Knapp an honorary citizen .
