Alexander Alexandrowitsch Islamow ( Russian Александр Александрович Исламов ; born October 11, 1986 in Orsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was last under contract with Yuzhny Ural Orsk from the Wysschaja Hockey League .

Career

Alexander Islamov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Yuzhny Ural Orsk , for whose professional team he was active from 2004 to 2006 in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division. He then spent the 2006/07 season with his league rivals Neftjanik Leninogorsk . For the 2007/08 season the center moved to Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk from the super league . Between 2008 and 2012 he was active for Neftechimik in the Continental Hockey League founded in 2008 . In September 2012 he moved to Metallurg Novokuznetsk within the league .
