Alexander Suvorov Arkadievich Rymnikski , Prince Italijski ( Russian Александр Аркадьевич Суворов ; born July 1, jul. / 13. July 1804 greg. , † January 31 jul. / 12. February 1882 greg. In Saint Petersburg ) was a Russian diplomat and General.
Life
Alexander Arkadyevich Suvorov was the only son of general Arkady Alexandrovich Suvorov and grandson of general Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov . He studied at the Georg August University and became a member of Curonia Goettingensis VII in 1825. He served in the Caucasus and in Congress Poland and was sent several times to German courts on diplomatic missions. In 1848 he became Governor General of the Baltic Governments . From 1861 he was Governor General of St. Petersburg. When the post ceased five years later, he became inspector general of the infantry .
