geography
course
The Alche rises in the northern Freudenberger Bergland northwest of Bühl . After about 140 m it flows through a pond and continues east towards Oberholzklau in the “Richelsbach and Alche” nature reserve. Before the village, the brook flows further south, past Bühl itself. After the place it runs southeast and south or again southeast through Alchen , to which the river gave its name. Further in a south-easterly direction it flows out of Alchen and meets its longest tributary shortly before Seelbach , the almost 4 km long Lederbach. In a large left curve it flows through Seelbach and runs slightly northeast past the neighboring town of Trupbach . After Trupbach the river turns and continues to flow southeast towards Siegen . The Alche then runs around the Fischbacherberg in Siegen and flows south-west of the Siegen train station into the Sieg.
