Bergmann has been taking part in the European Cup and the Snowboard World Cup since 2004 . He drove his first World Cup race in December 2006 in San Vigilio di Marebbe , which he finished in 48th place in the parallel giant slalom. He got his first World Cup points in January 2007 in Nendaz with the 36th place in the parallel slalom. At the Junior World Championships in Bad Gastein in 2007 , he won gold in the parallel giant slalom. In the World Cup he predominantly occupies midfield positions. In January 2013 he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with tenth place in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein. In his first World Championship participation in 2013 in Stoneham , he came in 35th place in parallel slalom and 21st place in parallel giant slalom. In January 2014 he won his first World Cup victory in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he finished 24th in the parallel slalom and 13th in the parallel giant slalom. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , he finished 19th in both the parallel giant slalom and the parallel slalom. In March 2017 he finished 14th in the parallel giant slalom at the World Championships in Sierra Nevada .
Bergmann has taken part in 76 World Cups so far and made it into the top ten eight times (as of the end of the 2016/17 season).
