Alexander Jakowlewitsch Perschin ( Russian Александр Яковлевич Першин ; * 1874 in the Ufa governorate ; † January 19, 1919 in Tashkent ) was a Russian revolutionary .

Life

Alexander Perschin became a member of the Bolsheviks in 1903 . From 1916 he worked in Tashkent in the Central Asian railway workshops. After the February Revolution in 1917 , he became involved in the workers' council. He was a delegate of the First All-Russian Congress of Soviets and was elected to its Central Executive Committee. He also became a member of the Tashkent Revolutionary Military Committee.

After the October Revolution he was People's Commissar for Food Procurement in Turkestan. In January 1919 he was assassinated during a counterrevolutionary uprising.
