It is correct that they had a son, Peter Desiré, but also a daughter (me), born October 11, 1943 in Berlin. He was posted from January 15 to June 24, 1941, in Paris. My father was fluent not only in French and English, but also in Italian. My father was in charge of the protection of art in Italy from February 1944 until April 30, 1945, according to the last entry of his diary. He died: 15.03.1946 (and not on 10.03.1946) in the hospital in Eutin of a pulmonary embolism (and not at home, and he did not kill himself). The commander of the "Graf Spee", Hans Langsdorff, was his cousin. " Mareile Langsdorff Claus
