Alexander Ohm-Januschowsky

Alexander Ignaz August Ohm von Januschowsky Ritter von Wischehrad (born August 22, 1855 in Olomouc , † December 9, 1917 in Loosdorf ) was an Austrian teacher and dialect writer.

Life

Ohm-Januschowsky worked from 1877 to 1896 as a teacher in Maria Taferl , then as senior teacher and director in Blindenmarkt .

He wrote novellist feuilletons as well as two volumes of poetry. He was also the author of the Lower Austrian farmers' union anthem "I am a German farmer" and co-author of school books.

In 1917 he died of tuberculosis and was buried in the Loosdorf cemetery.

family

He was the son of the editor and writer Georg Ohm-Januschowsky (1813-1867). The theater actress Georgine von Januschofsky was his sister, the railway inspector and cultural journalist Julius Ohm-Januschowsky (1851-1932) his brother.
