Alexander Raytchev

Alexander Raytchev ( Bulgarian Александър Александров Райчев , Aleksandar Aleksandrow Rajtschew; born March 15, 1975 in Sofia , Bulgaria ) is a Bulgarian classical pianist and composer who lives in Germany .

Life

Raytchev comes from a family of artists, his father is the composer Aleksandar Ivanov Rajchev . His mother, Milena Atanasova , works as an actress at the national theater "Ivan Wasow" .

Alexander Raytchev received his first piano lessons at the age of five. At the age of eleven he won the Bulgarian competition Prowadia. A short time later he received invitations to the Baden-Baden Brahms Symposium and received awards in Japan for his compositions. After graduating from high school in Sofia in 1993 Raytchev studied piano and composition at the University of Music in Trossingen and in parallel with Jowtscho Kruschew in Sofia . Then he passed his concert exam at the University of Music and Theater in Hanover with Arie Vardi and Bernd Goetzke .

Raytchev lives in Hamburg . From here his international concert tours start. The pianist has been the first guest soloist at the Sofia Philharmonic since 2004 .

Alexander Raytchev's passion is programs with literature and music, including the CD project Hear my heart with Ulrich Tukur . In cooperation with the Hamburg Planetarium , Alexander Raytchev develops multimedia programs, a symbiosis of classical music and image projections. He is part of various chamber music ensembles, including singers from the Hanover State Opera and the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra .
