Alexander Sand

Alexander Sand (born June 25, 1928 in Speyer ; † March 6, 2013 ) was a German Catholic theologian and New Testament scholar .

After his ordination in 1953, Sand worked as a chaplain in Frankenthal and Pirmasens, as a pastor in the Palatinate Psychiatric Clinic in Landeck , as Subregens in the Ducal Georgianum in Munich and from 1969 to 1990 as a professor of exegesis and theology of the New Testament at the Ruhr University in Bochum . With the work suggested by Josef Schmid, The term meat in the Pauline main letters , he did his doctorate under Otto Kuss . He was buried on March 13, 2013 in the main cemetery in Speyer .
