Alexander Sergejewitsch Below ( Russian Александр Сергеевич Белов ; born September 11, 1981 in Ufa , Soviet Union ) is a Russian ski jumper .

Career

Alexander Below jumped his first international competition as part of the team competition at the Summer Grand Prix on August 5, 2000 in Hinterzarten , which he finished in 6th place together with Ildar Fatkullin , Dmitri Wassiljew and Anton Kalinitschenko .

On January 1, 2001, Below jumped for the first time in the Ski Jumping World Cup at the New Year's Jumping of the Four Hills Tournament 2000/01 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He finished this jumping on the large hill in 40th place.

At the 2002 Winter Olympics , he jumped on the large hill in the Utah Olympic Park in Salt Lake City to 50th and last place. Since the games he has only competed in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup and, from 2001, in FIS races . Since 2003 he has not completed any international jumping and only jumps in national competitions.
