Life

Although Alexander Bukharov was born in Labinsk as the son of a civil engineer and a nurse, he grew up in Irkutsk . According to his own statements, he was an incredibly bad student who hated school and preferred to let off steam in a youth gang and boxing. And so he didn't even graduate from 10th grade. As this also meant that he had no opportunity to be accepted at the vocational school, he helped a friend with his wish to be accepted at the Irkutsk Drama School. While his friend was later killed on the street, Bukharov was allowed to study at the school and graduated with honors in 1994, so that he was then allowed to study at the Gerasimov Institute for Cinematography .

After graduating in 1998, he received an offer from the Dzhigarkhanyan Theater and stayed there for a few years. And although he valued the theater very much, he was drawn to the cinema, where he was unable to convince in most of his auditions and rarely got a role. And the roles that got earlier were rarely better extras. But the big breakthrough came when he lost 15 kg especially for the film Volkodav iz roda Serykh Psov in order to be allowed to play the leading role. And although the film was panned unanimously by the Russian criticism, this was the springboard in the following years for the roles to historical films pact of beasts - The Sovereign's Servant and the soldier of the Tsar to be considered.

Bukharov is married and has a son who lives with his grandmother in Nizhny Novgorod .
