Alexander Sergejewitsch Chartschenkow

Alexander Sergejewitsch Chartschenkow ( Russian Александр Сергеевич Харченков ; also Alexander Kharchenkov , Alexander Khartchenkov , Alexandre Kharchenkov ) (born June 4, 1953 ) is a former Russian basketball player .

career

In 1992 he moved to Germany and became a coach in Munich , then he played for TSV Quakenbrück .

Chartschenkow went back to Russia, worked in the second half of the 1990s at Spartak St. Petersburg and from 1999 at Arsenal Tula as a coach. In 2001 he became the coach of the German second division USC Freiburg and remained in office until the end of the 2001/02 season.

He returned to Russia, from 2004 to 2006 he coached the second team of BK Chimk i and his son Nikita there . Chartschenkow was named Trainer of the Year for the 2004/05 season in Superliga B by the specialist portal eurobasket.com . In 2007 he took up the position of coach at the German regional league team DJK Landsberg and held it until 2010. For the 2010/11 season he moved to the BiG Gotha club in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , for which he worked for a season.

In the 2011/12 season he was assistant coach of the wheelchair basketball team at the RSC-Rollis Zwickau and head coach from the beginning of the 2012/13 season to mid-December 2012.

National team

With the Soviet selection he took part in the European Junior Championship in 1970 and won the gold medal. In the men's area, Chartschenkow was world champion with the Soviet Union in 1974 , in the final against the United States he scored two points. In 1977 he became vice European champion with the team.
