Alexander Swetlow (born April 8, 1984 ) is a former Belarusian ski jumper .

Career

Swetlow made his international debut at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2002 in Schonach in the Black Forest . From the normal hill he reached the 53rd place. On December 28, 2002 he made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup in Engelberg . He remained as 50th but with no prospect of gaining points.

At the Winter Universiade 2003 in Tarvisio and Planica Swetlow reached 35th place on the normal hill. In the team competition on the normal hill, he and the team reached ninth place. In the individual on the large hill he ended up again only on rank 34.

Four weeks later Swetlow started at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Val di Fiemme . After he missed the qualification in both individual competitions, he reached 12th place with the team in team jumping.

From the 2003/04 season Swetlow started firmly in the Continental Cup. However, until February 2004 he was again unable to achieve any points. At the Ski Flying World Championships 2004 in Planica he reached rank 54 in individual flights and ranked 10 in team flights with the team.

In the summer Swetlow started at the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2004 , but jumped after missing qualifications only in Hinterzarten and Zakopane in the team competitions. Before the start of the 2004/05 season, he ended his active ski jumping career for lack of success.
