Alexander Valeryevich Lasuschin ( Russian Александр Валерьевич Лазушин ; born April 9, 1988 in Yaroslavl , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey goalkeeper who was last under contract with Lokomotive Yaroslavl from the Continental Hockey League (KHL) until August 2020 .

Career

Alexander Lasuschin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Lokomotive Yaroslavl , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2003 to 2007 . After the goalkeeper had started the 2007/08 season there, he moved to Yuzhny Ural Orsk during the season , for whose professional team he was in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, between the posts in the following year and a half . In his first season he had an average of 3.18 goals against per game and was able to improve to 1.95 goals per game in the second season.

For the 2009/10 season , the Russian returned to his hometown club Lokomotive Yaroslavl, which had meanwhile been accepted into the Continental Hockey League . After he had not been used in the main round, he made his KHL debut in the playoffs and had an average of 3.19 conceded goals and a catch rate of 90.0% in his four missions.

In December 2010, he moved to Metallurg Novokuznetsk in exchange for Olexander Vyuchin and became a regular goalkeeper at Metallurg. In January 2013 his contract was terminated, in May of the same year he moved to HK Dynamo Moscow . Lasuschin worked there until the summer of 2017. This was followed by three one-year engagements at HK Lada Tolyatti , Kunlun Red Star and his ex-Lokomotive Yaroslavl team.
