Alexander von Witzleben

Alexander Reymar Karl-Wilhelm von Witzleben (born August 19, 1963 in Hamburg ) is a German manager .

Life

Witzleben comes from the Thuringian noble family of the same name and is the son of Friedrich-Karl Dietrich von Witzleben , the CEO of Siemens Nederland NV, who died in 2001, and Elke von Lueder.

From 1985 to 1990 he studied economics and business administration at the University of Passau . He then worked for three years at the auditing company KPMG in Munich .

In 1993 he moved to Jenoptik as head of the central finance department and since 1996 - between January 1, 1996 and May 1, 1997 as a deputy member - he was the CFO of the listed company. In 2003 he succeeded Lothar Späth as CEO . He held this office until the end of June 2007.

From July 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008 he was a member of the Management Board of Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH , a holding company based in Duisburg. Witzleben has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Feintool Group since January 1, 2009 . From April 1, 2009 to September 30, 2009 he was also interim CEO. He has been a member of the Feintool Group's Board of Directors since 1998.

Alexander von Witzleben has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the International Martin Luther Foundation since 2007 . Since April 2, 2008, Witzleben has also been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vereinigte BioEnergie AG and, since April 2015, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Arbonia AG, formerly AFG. In June 2016, he also assumed the position as interim chairman of the management of the Group and initiated a restructuring into a leading European building supplier.

Alexander von Witzleben is married and has two daughters.
