Alexandr Olegowitsch Korneljuk
Alexandr Olegowitsch Korneljuk ( Russian Александр Олегович Корнелюк , English transcription Aleksandr Kornelyuk ; born June 28, 1950 in Baku ) is a former Soviet sprinter .
At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1971 , he was sixth over 100 m .
In 1972 he won silver over 50 m at the European Athletics Indoor Championships . In the same year he was fourth at the Olympic Games in Munich over 100 m and won silver with the Soviet team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
In 1974 he won bronze over 60 m at the European Indoor Championships and was eighth over 100 m at the European Championships in Rome .
In 1970 and 1973 he was Soviet champion over 100 m, in 1972 and 1973 Soviet indoor champion over 60 m. At the Soviet national championships of the 1970s Korneljuk was the main competitor of Valery Borsov .
With a height of 165 cm, his competition weight was 64 kg.
