Alexandra Duckworth

Alexandra Duckworth (born November 11, 1987 in Ottawa ) is a Canadian snowboarder . She started for Canada in the  2014 Winter Olympics .

Career

Her only podium place in the Snowboard World Cup so far was in the World Cup 2009/10 at the World Cup in Calgary . At the Slopestyle competition on January 31, 2010, she took third place behind the Swiss Sina Candrian and her compatriot Brooke Voigt . Four years later she was nominated by the Canadian Olympic Committee for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi . There she did not compete in the slopestyle, but in the halfpipe competition . She survived the qualifying round in 13th place and was eliminated in eleventh place in the semi-finals. Overall, she finished the competition in 17th place.
