Alexandra Kui (born March 10, 1973 in Buxtehude , actually Alexandra Kuitkowski ) is a German writer . She studied in Hamburg and worked for various daily newspapers before her first book "Ausgedeutscht" was published in 1998. Today she lives as an author , musician and journalist on the Geest near Hamburg.

Life

Alexandra Kui was born in Buxtehude in March 1973. When she was in elementary school, she said she decided to become an author. In high school she learned to compose and play the violin . In 2009 her first CD, “Sturmland”, was released, which she recorded in Reykjavík with Icelandic musicians.

Kui studied sociology , political science and social history in Hamburg. Since her traineeship at Goslarschen Zeitung , she has been working for various daily newspapers and writing travel reports. In 1998 her first book "Ausgedeutscht" was published, a novel for young people. Her first crime novel “The Fog Rocks” was published in 2005 by Knaur .
