Alexandra Schröder

Alexandra Schröder (born December 20, 1984 in Olpe ) is a German singer and speaker. Musically she first appeared at the age of 15 under the stage name "Alicia Maas". She achieved greater awareness in 2003/2004 when she took part in Stefan Raab's casting SSDSGPS for the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul.

Live and act

The singer grew up in Olpe, Sauerland, and began classical singing training at the age of 12. In the following years she sang in party bands and choirs. At the age of 15 she received her first record deal and released a few singles under the stage name "Alicia Maas".

In 2003 she applied to the Pro7 casting show SSDSGPS (Stefan is looking for the Super Grand Prix star) and came third behind Max Mutzke and Bonita Jeanetta Louw . Together with the other 4 finalists of the show, she then toured Germany with the TvTotal house band heavytones. In 2004 she also appeared on TvTotal with Irish singer Ronan Keating and the band Kool & the Gang .

The singer has worked on various dance projects; the dance cover of the musical classic Phantom of the Opera by Guenta K., reached chart positions in Austria and Switzerland, and the top 10 in the UK dance charts, she also sang the 2010 version of the Future Breeze classic Why don't you dance with me .

Since 2008 she has also been active as a spokesperson for radio and TV, here a. a. for the toy manufacturer MATTEL, the cosmetics company Schwarzkopf Henkel and the Sparkasse.

Alex Schröder sings in rock and pop bands, a. a. as the front woman of the Rocking Chairs, and works as a songwriter. She lives with her husband in Mönchengladbach.
