Maria Alexandra Paula Louise Jademyr Zazzi (born June 7, 1966 in Rapallo , Italy ) is a Swedish cook , journalist and author of cookbooks.

Life

Her grandfather worked in the Italian embassy in Berlin during the Second World War . He helped Jews leave Germany without a Jewish star in their passports. When the authorities became aware of him, he fled to Stockholm . Her father, a geologist, grew up in Sweden and during a hospital stay met her mother, a Swedish nurse. When the father received a scholarship in Italy, the family moved there and Zazzi grew up in the northern Italian city of Rapallo. After the outbreak of the oil crisis , she moved back to Sweden in 1977.

Zazzi achieved her big breakthrough in 1998 as the first female winner of the docusoap expedition Robinson . She then went public as the presenter of the cookery programs Köket on the Swedish television channel TV4 and Menu on the Swedish radio station Sveriges Radio P1 . In addition, she worked as a reporter for the television station TV3 and other radio and television programs. She writes for several newspapers, for example reports and chronicles for Göteborgs-Posten and cookery magazines. She has published four cookbooks to date and operates two restaurants in Gothenburg .
