Alexandre Joseph Thomas
Alexandre Joseph Thomas (born March 13, 1810 in Malmedy , Département Ourthe , † August 9, 1898 in Brussels ) was a Belgian history painter .
Life
Thomas attended the academies in Düsseldorf and Antwerp . He studied at the Düsseldorf Academy from 1829 to 1831. There he was a student of Wilhelm Schadow . He settled in Brussels. At the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889 he was awarded a third class medal.
